Stand 21 Charity Cup :
Record 15th edition for Maya

More champions, sports and medias personalities than ever have answered the invitation to the Morizot tribe’s traditional Stand 21 Charity Cup at the Beaune Levernois' Golf course, which is celebrating its 15th edition this year.

An unpredictable forecast didn't affect the general good mood and generosity prevalent at this new chapter of the Stand 21 tournament.
Some players doubt of the existence of a God of golf, but we were certain of the existence of the Goddess Maya, the delightful beneficiary who suffers from a very rare syndrome: Fox G1 ( which affects only a few hundred children in the world).
We had no other choice than to honour the Foxy Maya association (Gevrey Chambertin) with divine offerings!
And to accompany such a goddess, we want to thank all the friends who came to celebrate this 15th edition despite the fuel shortage.
The peloton of celebrities (sportsmen and guests) was very impressive, with a high number of footballers (Christian Lopez, Patrick Revelli, Jean Castaneda, Bruno Germain, Philippe Jeannol…), Tennis champions (Jean Paul & Nathalie Loth, Arthur Gomes) and along side them, in the pack, athletes (Alain Blondel, Marie Christine Debourse, Alexandre Gonzales). Laurent Bernard was in shooting position, checking on the cyclist Alain Bondue at the final sprint, supported by the charismatic humour of TEX !
Motorsport was likewise very well represented, as this tournament was organised with the Club des Pilotes des 24H du Mans (24H Le Mans drivers club), presided over by Gérard Larousse, double winner of the race. He wasn't the only winner present as Éric Hélary was also part of this very exclusive circle….
Plenty of other very talented drivers from different disciplines were also here: Bernard Beguin, Bruno Saby, Philippe Alliot, François Chatriot, Gilles Panizzi, the Milesi familly, Bruno Sotty, Christian Lavieille, Isabel Lebon, Didier Calmels, Frédéric Forgeau…
The Morizot family would also like to thank all their long-term partners who have been involved since the start in this adventure: All the Team at the Golf de Beaune, the city of Beaune and his mayor, Alain Suguenot, faithful from the first edition, the Maison Albert Bichot represented by Christophe Bichot, the Dijon Porsche Centre and all the team of Frédérique Petitjean, Porsche Motorsport, the Château de Meursault, the Maison Cabotte in Beaune, Alexandre Naud et Stand 21. At the end, the scores were not as important as the charity, and we have managed to raise 40 000 euros for Maya and her family.
The very generous donations and the auction run by Christophe Jammot with a Champions League style combined for a result beyond the family's wildest dreams. Maya will be able to equip herself with equipment totally adapted for her needs and equally put funds towards financing a new care centre in Talant. That was by far the best trophy of this memorable day of Golf.
